The City of Melbourne and the Melbourne Police Department invite you to the Ribbon Cutting for the Joseph Pellicano Law Enforcement Center on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. The Melbourne Police Department's new location is at 250 W. Nasa Boulevard, Melbourne, FL 32901.

The construction of the new police department was approved by the citizens of Melbourne in 2018 through general obligation bonds. The new state-of-the-art police station will bring all operations into one location. The new facility is named in honor of Officer Joseph Pellicano, who was killed in the line of duty on October 17, 1986. Officer Pellicano left a legacy of dedication, integrity, and honorable service. He worked closely with local youth through the Police Athletic League and was an outstanding police officer and well-respected Brevard Law Enforcement community member.

All community members are invited to attend the official Ribbon Cutting and Open House on November 1st at 9:00 a.m. Limited tours will be available until noon after the dedication.
