About Natera
Natera is a global leader in genomic testing and diagnostics, dedicated to transforming how disease is managed worldwide. This new local center expands community access to Natera's breakthrough oncology testing services, most notably the Signatera test.
What is Signatera?
Signatera is a custom-designed molecular residual disease (MRD) test that is uniquely personalized for each patient based on their individual set of tumor mutations. MRD refers to the presence of small traces of cancer in the blood, such as circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA).
Signatera can detect these extremely small amounts of tumor DNA before a cancer recurrence can be seen by traditional imaging tools, such as CT scans or MRIs. Used periodically over the course of routine follow-up care, this highly sensitive information helps physicians and oncologists make more informed decisions by determining if a patient is responding to treatment, evaluating if further treatment should be considered, or identifying early signs that the cancer has returned or progressed.
Ordering and Access
Because Signatera is a highly specialized medical diagnostic tool, the test must be ordered by a physician or healthcare provider. Once the initial custom test is designed, patients can utilize this new Space Coast location for their regular, ongoing follow-up blood draws.
