ROLE:

As a Patient Care Technician at Bodhi TCM Acupuncture, you will play a crucial role in our patients' healing. You will be responsible for making them feel welcome, help with hands-on therapies and uphold the practice mission and customer service standards.

You will be the primary point of contact for our patients, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction and success. This role requires proactive communication and a patient-focused individual who can manage multiple patients at a time and support our doctor.

This role reports directly to our doctor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet patients with a smile and by their name as soon as they walk into the practice
  • Cheer our patients along their journey! You will be part of incredible success stories
  • Make sure all of our patients' concerns are answered so they leave feeling better than they did when they came in.
  • Check in patients and assist them with scheduling, payment or questions
  • Assist the patients in getting comfortable in their treatment room
  • Assist the doctor with hands on therapies you will be trained on
  • Clean the treatment room after every patient
  • Get the rooms ready for incoming patients with all equipment needed for their therapies
  • Ensure the practice is clean at all times
  • Follow opening and closing procedures to setup the practice
  • Follow all safety precautions
  • Follow HIPPA laws of privacy
  • Answer phones, call backs and assist patients over the phone as needed
  • Keep up with the practice fast paced environment

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reflect the practice mission at all times.
  • Genuine care for each of our patients and their healing. Loves to make patients special, we celebrate their success with us as well as their own milestones (birthdays, anniversaries, etc)
  • Strong patient focus with the desire to go above and beyond to create the best patient experience.
  • Move quickly and accurately with tasks
  • Learn quickly and execute at a high level with speed.
  • Never assumes, always asks questions
  • Follow training procedures for all tasks
  • Punctual and responsible with assigned schedule
  • Self-direct and properly manage one’s time, strong sense of urgency and autonomy with one’s work.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Make autonomous decisions of how to handle patients based on training, company moral/values and set guidelines.
  • Handle difficult conversations regarding upset patients and de-escalate those situations.
  • Able to multitask efficiently and without issues.

COMMUNICATION EXPECTATIONS:

  • We use an internal system to navigate the day and document patient progress
  • We are honest and reflect the practice values inside and outside of work

AVAILABILITY:

This is a Part Time in person position Monday through Thursday. The hours needed are:

  • Monday and Wednesday 1:30 PM- 6:30 PM
  • Tuesday and Thursday 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM
  • Additional hours can be worked at all if needed. Occasional weekend event support might be needed.
