Miracle Barbershop originated in New York and recently moved to Melbourne with the owner, Anna! Specializes in men’s haircuts and grooming services. Looking for a Social Media Specialist to play a key role in supporting the organization's social media presence by creating engaging content and assisting with day-to-day social media operations. Will require you to be on site to take original photography with the barber’s clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media strategies and content creation tools to drive impactful campaigns and elevate our online presence.
Work Location: On site
Internship can be a semester length.
Pay: Student credit (if applicable)
Duties
- Develop and produce high-quality visual and written content tailored for social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Google My Business), including images and videos.
- Proofread all content for accuracy before publishing.
- Responsible for maintaining and growing brand awareness across digital platforms.
- Responsible for photography equipment. (Phone Cameras are acceptable.)
- Other equipment will be provided. (Ring-lights, backdrops, etc.)
- Create and post at least once a week to pages using Meta Business Suite.
- Create and post to stories
- Create and post to Facebook Groups
- Post at least monthly to Google My Business to update content.
- Work with Barber’s schedule to coordinate on-site photography
- Talk to Barber’s client’s to ask for consent to take photographs and post haircuts.
- Maintain consistent branding across all digital platforms while ensuring content aligns with overall marketing goals.
- Track engagement analytics to inform content improvements.
- Role works independently and reports to the Owner.
- Owner is responsible for responding to DMs, comments and reviews.
- All content produced becomes property of the business.
Experience
- Familiarity with social media platforms and Meta Business Suite
- Familiarity with posting to Facebook Groups
- Familiarity with editing software for content creation. (Canva, Adobe Suite)
- Ability to craft compelling content that aligns with branding guidelines across multiple platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
- Excellent proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
- Photography professionally and/or with Phone Camera
