A family-run and operated custom home builder grounded in craftsmanship, trust, and a deep respect for doing things the right way.

Our story began in Nogales, Arizona, where we grew up working alongside our father in his remodeling business, Cheatham and Sons. He taught us more than construction, he instilled the values of hard work, integrity, and treating people right. Those lessons still guide us every day.

After two decades in the construction and remodeling world, Mike, his wife Nikki, and brother Jonathan decided to take a different path, one that focused on building smaller, smarter homes without sacrificing quality. Movable Roots was born from that vision.

We specialize in custom tiny homes on wheels, park model RVs, and modular homes, along with mobile commercial and hospitality units. Each project is built with the same attention to detail and care we were raised on.

Movable Roots remains a true family business. Our dad still stops by the shop, offering advice and support. Mike’s son, Alex, is now part of the team, continuing the hands-on legacy into the next generation.
