Description
This "featured performance" by the DANIEL TENBUSCH Quartet will be Daniel on keyboard, THOMAS MILOVAC on bass, ASHTON BAILEY-GOULD on drums and special guest ZACH MUTH on guitar.
Musical artist and keyboardist Daniel Tenbusch is originally from the Space Coast of Florida. His extraordinary talent gave him the opportunity to tour with the GLENN MILLER ORCHESTRA in the summer of 2023.
Daniel began playing piano at a young age and took an early interest in jazz and popular music. He was awarded a SPACE COAST JAZZ SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP in 2014. He graduated from Florida State University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Piano Performance. He moved to New Orleans and worked daily with bands of many styles, elevating his playing, developing his sound and immersing himself in the music New Orleans has to offer.
In December 2018, Daniel Tenbusch began working for drummer Les Demerle (former drummer for the Harry James Orchestra). With Les, Daniel did two contracts for Royal Caribbean, playing six nights a week in the Royal Caribbean jazz club, Jazz on Four. He continued to base out of New Orleans when he wasn’t on cruise ships.
Currently, Daniel is pursuing a masters degree in music from the University of Central Florida, and teaches five undergraduate classes in piano. He continues to work with his own trio as well as collaborate with artists throughout the Space Coast and area.
THOMAS MILOVAC is a bassist, composer/improviser, and artist based out of Orlando, Florida. He has performed throughout the United States appearing with artists such as Ulysses Owens Jr., Wayne Escoffery, Ryan Devlin, Adam Nussbaum, Steve Cohn, Rashid Williams’s LFJ Orchestra, Alex Han, John Lumpkin, Zoh Amba, Dominick Farinacci, Steve Swell, Elizabeth A. Baker, Sean Hamilton, Majid Araim, Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, Renee Baker, and Jonas Van den Bossche.
Thomas is also a member of the "pan-Florida improvisation syndicate" BONGUS, jazz rock group Creek, and the Jacksonville based ensemble Madre Vaca. He also leads his own ensembles performing his original works. These projects includes the Thomas Milovac Sextet and Trio, Large Ensemble, and the bass and drum duo, The Improjectionists.
In 2021, Thomas started his record label, Cosmo Sonic Collective, focused on releasing improvised music. Thomas released his debut studio album “Sun Ray” in February of 2022.
ASHTON BAILEY-GOULD is a jazz drummer specializing in straight-ahead jazz, modern jazz, and R&B. I've played several venues across central Florida including Foosaner Art Museum, Heidi's Jazz Club, Blue Bamboo Center For the Arts, Jazz Tastings, and several others.
ZACH MUTH is a HAPCO Music Foundation jazz guitarist, started playing the guitar at the age of 7, and after 14 years he has been playing and teaching other instruments as well. He performs in various groups playing jazz, avant-garde/free improvisation and his original compositions.
GENERAL ADMISSION is paid at the door. $20 for members of the Jazz Society and Veterans Memorial Center, $25 for guests. Bring your own food and drink. Tables, chairs, live jazz and a beautiful view of the river are provided.
