Proceeds from the Melbourne Main Street events are used to advocate for the revitalization of Downtown Melbourne including items such as enhanced lighting, safety, parking, and beautification projects. 

 

In addition, funds will be invested in our efforts to continue hosting special events and to market and promote Downtown Melbourne as the premier destination for dining, celebrations, shopping, interactive experiences, services, and more.

This event will take place at The Tides Club on Thursday, May 18th, 2023, 11:30 am-1:30 pm and will be a two-part session. We will have a keynote presentation on "Personal Branding for the Professional Woman." Elizabeth Brienza, Corporate Vice President at L3Harris Technologies will encourage and inspire women to own their professional presence.

 

The second part will be a panel discussion on "Emotional Intelligence Amongst Genders." Speakers on this panel will discuss, in general, components associated with emotional intelligence in the workplace and how those components apply across genders. We would like to invite you to join our Business Advocacy Committee for an upcoming meeting featuring guest speaker, Frank Abbate, who will be giving a State of the County address. Frank Abbate is an experienced leader with a wealth of knowledge on Brevard County's initiatives and progress, and we are excited to have him share his insights with our members.

During the meeting, Mr. Abbate will discuss some of the bigger initiatives underway in Brevard County, including updates on tourism numbers, the new Emergency Operations Center, the Indian River Lagoon 

project, and ongoing efforts to improve roads and bridges and tackle capacity issues. This will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the county's plans and progress, and to network with other business professionals who are also interested in advocating for the success of Brevard County's business community.
